Two frozen Kong treats will do it,” I thought to myself as I prepared for the most significant audition of my life – a chance to be featured on the Follow My Launch web reality TV show with online business expert, Lindsey Anderson, who helps coaches launch their online businesses and thrive.

Little did I know my two pups would decide that the 10-minute Zoom interview would be the perfect time to remind dad of an all-important, crucial skill I call…

Yes And…

It’s a golden rule for comedians or musicians improvising in the moment. You just go with what ever is happening in the moment … to fight it is potential catastrophe!. Part of the joy of being a Jazz-Fusion guitarist for me is the magic that can happen when you follow wherever the other musicians go.

It also has huge implications in life! If you can quickly get into the Yes And… when the unexpected happens, what could have been a horrific or embarrassing outcome can turn into something amazing, like when I watched a model walking down a runway when all of a sudden her ankle collapsed and is now quickly falling to the ground! Now, what would you have done and what would it feel like to fall on your face in front of thousands!

What she did instead was began to twirl as she was falling, and when she her bum hit the ground she raised her arms up in victory, “Ta-da!!” And everyone clapped and cheered!

Potential catastrophe into a win.

Afterwards, I will not lie, I was just a wee-bit pissed w/ the pooches and was rather “loud” about my frustrations (extra hugs and treats on the way for sure). I mean, it’s not a big deal, no, just years and decades towards a vision coming into fruition and a moment has arrived to share it in a big way and …
